ATTENDANCE AND DISMISSALS

Falmouth Elementary School uses a system called PickUp Patrol to help track dismissals. PickUp Patrol helps FES manage the dismissal process safely while providing families with a convenient way to make changes to children’s dismissal plans.

Families can use the PickUp Patrol website or app for attendance and dismissal changes. All changes should be sent through PickUp Patrol as this is the fastest way to notify the school and the student’s teacher. Please do not send notes, emails, or call the school for changes, except in an emergency. No changes can be made after 2:40, except for emergencies.

Attendance: Notify the school office when your child will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early.

Dismissal Changes: Submit changes to your child’s regular dismissal plan.

HOW IT WORKS

Each child is assigned a dismissal plan at the start of the year, according to the information provided in the daily routines survey. This is the plan they will regularly follow on normal days. This is called the Default Plan.

Whenever you have a change to the Default Plan, submit the change through the PickUp Patrol website or app. When the change is submitted, the school will be notified and the child’s teacher will relay the change to them.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

  1. REGISTER
Families will receive a registration email from PickUp Patrol with a link to set up an account. The PickUp Patrol app is free to families and can be used from a smartphone or computer. The app is not accessed through app stores. Instead, follow the instructions in the registration email to add it to a phone.

  2. ENTER DEFAULT PLANS
Once registered, log into PickUp Patrol to confirm the default dismissal plan.
