New Student Registration

Welcome to Falmouth Public Schools! At FPS, we're navigating creative pathways to courageous, compassionate, and fulfilling lives. We're so excited for your student to become a Navigator.

What is the Enrollment Process?

If you are not a Falmouth resident, scroll down to the Non-Resident Student Information section for information on enrolling.

Students who are currently enrolled do not need to register for the next school year, as this happens automatically.

Non-Resident Student Information

Non-resident students should follow your respective instructions below. Once you have confirmation from Falmouth Public Schools, you may complete the enrollment process for your student.

If you need translation services, would like to complete the registration in-person, or need help with the online forms, please contact Registrar Sharon Ross sharon.ross@falmouthschools.org or call 207-781-7429 x5419.

Home Instruction

If you are a parent or guardian who wishes to provide home instruction for your child, you must submit a notice of intent to provide home instruction simultaneously to Falmouth Public Schools' district office and to the Maine State Department of Education Home Instruction Office within 10 calendar days of the beginning of home instruction. You will also need to submit this intent for home instruction, along with an annual assessment of your child's academic progress, every subsequent year on or before Sept. 1 of each school year that you provide home instruction.

Learn more about the State of Maine's requirements and laws and what to include on the notice of intent to the school district. You can complete this online Notice of Intent to Provide Home Instruction form for the state.
